Sergeant Early’s Dream (with caller)

Return to Previous Page

What’s a Sergeant Early’s Dream Ceilidh like? The band provides red hot jigs and reels to accompany the dances and brings an experienced ceilidh dance caller who explains all the moves. It’s a recipe for the best ceilidhs that Bristol has to offer!

“Jigs and reels, hornpipes and hop steps, polkas, slides and slip jigs with organised dancing all makes for a riotous evening of fun!”

There can be no better way to celebrate than a good old-fashioned country dance, ceilidh or barn dance. Never danced before? No worries! The band brings a caller who comes down onto the dance floor to explain and demonstrate the steps and moves for each of the dances. The caller starts with very simple dances that anyone can join in with. By the end every one will be on the dance floor joining in Strip The Willow!

Enjoy a splendid evening of dance floor-filling musical entertainment in traditional Barn Dance style – a rip-roaring ceilidh led by Sergeant Early’s Dream.

  • Toe-tapping tunes from a traditional ceilidh band
  • Experienced ceilidh-caller to assist with dance steps
  • Loads of fun for everyone – a great party ice-breaker!

  1. Tony’s Daughters Wedding

I’d like you to pass on my thanks to Sergeant Early’s Dream for their excellent performance and their astonishing patience at my daughter’s wedding on Saturday. Everything was very busy, running very late, and basically total chaos and as a result I had no real time to welcome them, talk to them, or thank them adequately. I hope it hasn’t put them off doing weddings for life!
