If you’re looking for a sparkling and authentic presentation of Trad and Dixieland Jazz to create a carnival atmosphere at your wedding reception, birthday celebration, garden party, social occasion or corporate event, then Plymouth Trad Jazz Band is the perfect choice.

“Strutting their rhythms in true Dixieland style, these traditional New Orleans sounds will go down a treat!”

Plymouth Trad Jazz Band boasts an impressive musical repertoire, performing an enticing mix of traditional Jazz, smoky Blues and Dixieland classics, all in the time-honoured New Orleans fashion. Talented musicians with over three decades of professional performance experience under their belts, the guys in the band know exactly how to generate a happy celebration atmosphere and get the party going with a real swing.

With clarinet, trumpet and trombone sharing the top line, ably supported by banjo, double-bass and drums in the rhythm section, the full band will provide the perfect musical accompaniment for a summer celebration or garden party, whereas for more intimate occasions, a clarinet, trumpet, banjo and double-bass quartet might fit the bill. Whichever line-up you choose, it’ll be carefree, happy-go-lucky sunshine music at its very best.

The band normally play entirely acoustically. Substitute a spectacular Sousaphone for the double-bass, and an acoustic quartet or quintet can form a parade, strolling among your guests as they play. It’s the perfect option for an outdoor event and for carnival processions – and even funerals. The band is available to perform for all manner of special occasions such as wedding celebrations, birthdays, garden parties or even corporate functions throughout the South West and beyond.

Create a carefree carnival atmosphere and get your guests into festive party mood at your special celebration with Plymouth Trad Jazz Band.

  • A jaunty melodic mixture of blues, jazz and Dixieland classics
  • Flexible line-up and repertoire, depending on requirements
  • No need for electrical amplification – perfect for outdoors!
