Their swinging Big Band shows have earned this versatile ensemble an exceptional reputation, and amongst many other high-profile events and clientèle, The 1940s Blitz Big Band have performed for the Chelsea Flower Show, Savoy Hotel, Granada TV, Tony Blair and Phil Collins!
The group’s adaptable, flexible repertoire is filled to overflowing with swinging hits from such period luminaries as Glenn Miller, Frank Sinatra and Vera Lynn. Performances will be expertly tailored to suit the exact requirements of your event – simply pick your favourite items from their ever-expanding playlist and watch as this supremely talented Big Band effortlessly transports your guests back in time to the Roaring Forties!
The band’s line-up can vary from a 5-piece to a 12-piece depending on the particular requirements of each event. A small, inconspicuous PA system will be brought along to amplify and further enhance their performance, and of course, authentic period dress is all part of the service!
