Big band sound ... |

Julian Scott and Bernard Wight created this group to fulfil a shared dream: to play classic big band swing but with a compact line-up. Through clever re-writing of band arrangements, and the recruiting of experienced and talented local musicians, this "Little Big Band" was formed. |

There are six horns: three saxes, two trumpets and a trombone. These enable the band to deliver that exciting, tight, big band ensemble sound. Piano, bass and drums form the driving, swinging rhythm section. Two fine vocalists, Adrienne Hale and Neil Davison, complete the line-up. |

With its repertoire of foot-tapping classics and its distinctive swinging style, this versatile band can provide a very varied programme for dancing. There's some jive, rhythm & blues, Beatles, rock & roll - and even a waltz or two. The band comes dressed to suit the event and has an excellent PA system to provide high quality sound whatever the venue. |
