Mike Evans is a veteran of the concert and festival platform.

Mike first encountered that magical and wonderful instrument - the violin - at primary school. It was to become the passion and driving force of his life.
He has always been fascinated by all aspects of this versatile instrument.

The early '70s saw Mike out on the road with rock group Stackridge.
George Martin (famous as the"fifth Beatle") recorded Stackridge's third album, "The Man In The Bowler Hat" in 1973.

In the late '70s, Mike formalised his musical studies at university, looking in depth at the historical background of European music

The 1980's found him serenading visitors to The Pump Room at Bath, as leader of the Pump Room Trio. As leader of the Bath Georgian Festival Orchestra for many successful concert seasons, he absorbed and enjoyed the popular orchestral repertoire.
