Kai Hoffman Jazz Quartet

Return to Previous Page

Kai Hoffman presents a beguiling mix of Swing classics, Vintage 1920s Jazz and brilliant Jive that will have you all dancing your socks off.

“Introducing Kai Hoffman – Jazz Diva Extraordinaire!”

With a voice that can be as bright and clear as a bell, yet is also liberally equipped with rich, sultry lower resonances, Kai gives you her own original take on a sparkling selection of those well-known classics from the iconic silver-screen Swing Jazz era of Broadway and Hollywood.

The Quartet’s repertoire extends further through Latin Jazz, Blues, Jump Jive, Soul and Motown. It’s all delivered with Kai’s own unique twist. Listen out for tight arrangements and perfect phrasing from the ensemble of piano, double-bass and drumkit that completes The Kai Hoffman Jazz Quartet. It’s little wonder that these experienced, talented guys have rapidly become familiar, well-respected faces on the UK jazz circuit.

The line-up is flexible. For more intimate settings, a piano and vocals duo may be appropriate. However, if dancing is part of the remit, the full quartet with bass and drums fits the bill. For a 1920s-themed evening, Kai presents a special set of Roaring Twenties favourites, performed in period costume, once again either as a compact duo with piano or with the full ensemble. Whatever the occasion and whatever their chosen line-up, the band can supply a top-quality PA system which is fully adaptable to reproduce an excellent sound in venues of any type and size.

The Kai Hoffman Jazz Quartet will immediately evoke the glitz, glamour and razzmatazz of an iconic, bygone age for your special celebration.

  • Bringing the Hollywood era to life, perfect for ’20s or ’30s-themed events
  • Flexible line-up depending on your requirements
  • Fully-equipped with a top-quality PA system

Just want to say thank you so much for the music. We both thought you guys were brilliant – exactly what we wanted and lots of fun! And you did the first dance song brilliantly – far better than the original version – a bit more jazzy and happy! So that was great too. Thanks again for everything, you guys were really ace.

Just a quickie to say thank you so much for the terrific performance you gave at our wedding! The vibe was amazing and you guys really made our evening SO special. It really gave me a thrill to see so many people – parents included – dancing away to such wonderful music. Loads of people commented on how great you were, including the venue (owners) and our photographer.

A high energy performer, Hoffman has much individuality in her approach, using the richness of her voice to great effect and also displaying the fine pitch and great phrasing, one of the finest vocalists and performers around on the scene today. Kai has a great ability to sell whatever song she is singing, and put it across with bags of personality.

With her Marilyn Monroe looks, out there lovin’ it style, and neat little three-piece-band, Kai will out the late winter blahs and chase them in to a hot club, a terrific set.
