Barn dances and ceilidhs are great at weddings or parties as they are enjoyed by young and old alike. Chalktown have been playing at events like these for over fifteen years and are happy to tailor the evening to your exact requirements. |

Chalktown provide an experienced caller who explains the moves before each dance and then guides you through the figures whilst the music is playing. For weddings and parties callers tend to use the more simple dances that everyone can join in, although they can use more complex dances if there are more experienced dancers in the room. |

It’s amazing how easy the dances can be when you have a band like Chalktown, with years of experience, selecting exactly the right tune. We have a large selection of arrangements of jigs, polkas, hornpipes, marches and waltzes, all tried and tested on a range of dancers and callers. |

The band has a high quality PA which can provide appropriate sound levels for all sizes of venue. Please note we are not a Scottish or Irish band (we don’t play many reels), although we do use the occasional Scottish and Irish dance or tune. |
